I’m Going To Zombieland

I have long been a zombie fan. I love movies like Evil Dead, Shaun of the Dead, and 28 Days Later. Seeing the previews for Zombieland has struck all the right cords in me. It is not even a question of if, but when I’m going to see the movie. It is off to a fantastic start on Rotten Tomatoes, scoring a 93% thus far. The film is looking to be a strong contender for #1 when it opens this week on Friday, October 2nd. I don’t think Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs will repeat at #1, call me crazy.

Pleasant Surprise In Punching The Clown

When I’m not working on the MacGuffin Podcast, I’m the host of STIFF Nights; the screening series of Seattle’s True Independent Film Festival.  One of my good friends works for Slamdance and I asked her for some suggestions of good films to screen that were coming out of their festival.  One of the films she highly recommended to me was a film called Punching The Clown, which had won the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature.

So I’ve been noticing the last week or so there have been several adds for the movie The Men Who State At Goats. I honestly can’t say I know too much about the film, except that it stars George Clooney and it has something to do with psychology and the military. That sounds like an intriguing premise, so I wanted to look into the movie a little more and find out what exactly the film is about.
