For his DVD pick, Spencer chose season one of the hilarious comedy series, Workaholics. Greg selected action comedy, Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky (DVD/Blu-ray).

On the topic of Giancarlo Esposito, what’d you guys think
about that Breaking Bad finale?
While I loved the ultimate showdown, I have to say the western
soundtrack was absolutely perfect for Gus’s wait in the car and walk up to the
nursing home.

Also, no movie will ever really achieve the unintentional laughs as well as Nic Cage’s Wicker man. Though Knowing really did try.

**1. I’m unprepared to discuss Breaking Bad (I’m not current), but I will say I love Giancarlo Esposito on the show.

2. I haven’t watched Wicker Man and really don’t have the desire to, so I’ll take your word on that. That being said, I have seen Knowing and while I agree it isn’t a good film I will say that I like the concept. Sort of reminded me of PI…I like the idea of there being one code that solves all of the worlds mysteries. Unfortunately it didn’t really capitalize on that. Also, I have to give them props for taking the non-Hollywood ending, could’ve taken the easy way out.

While you guys were right about Bernadette Peters and Steve Marting being a thing during The Jerk and Pennies From Heaven, etc., Victoria Tennant was actually married to Steve Marting from 1986 to 1994. Remember she was in that really funny scene in All Of Me when she wants him to spank her? L.A. Story was Martin’s love letter to both Los Angeles and his wife at the time. But then they got divorced.
As for 5 beloved Steve Marting movies since 1990, I’ll name:
Leap of Faith (Excellent underrated movie)
Grand Canyon
The Spanish Prisoner
The Prince of Egypt
L.A.Story

As for 2 movies since 2000:
It’s Complicated was kinda good
… and I’m out. I can’t think of a second one (haven’t seen Shopgirl or Novocaine)

Meanwhile, there may not be a single role of his in the 80s that I didn’t like! Wow!

I LOVE L.A. STORY. So very, very good.

And I agree that It’s Complicated was kinda good. I never saw the movie Shopgirl, but it’s is an amazing novella.
