“Where’s Wallace, String!?” That scene always comes to me when when I think Idris Elba. I started watching Luther and I have to agree that it’s pretty good.

While 28 weeks later is certainly not better than then 28 days, the scene at the farmhouse in the beginning when they just pan out to the zombies chasing him across the field was pretty mindblowing for me.

If it weren’t for Omar, he would’ve been my favorite part of The Wire. It seems like the fanbase of Luther just continues to grow as more people are turned on to it.

I definitely agree with you about the farm scene, but the funny thing about that is there have been rumors floating around that it was directed by Danny Boyle and the rest of the movie by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo. I don’t know if there is any truth to that, but it definitely feels like a different movie.

Hmm, well that makes sense.

On another note, The Untouchables is a hell of a movie. It’s nice to hear you guys talking about it. I really don’t think people talk about it enough these days. Whenever it’s on AMC or another cable channel, I always watch.

I agree with you…I think the problem with the Untouchables is that people forget how good it is because of how Brian De Palma’s career has tapered off. I think that has left a bad taste in the mouths of many people, sort of like how the Matrix sequels hurt the legacy of that franchise. Just a theory though.
